Samsung Galaxy Fold: The World's First Foldable Phone

Mobile phones have gone through a whole lot of changes in the past decade. Things seems to be changing even more as we enter 2019. As on 21st February, 2019 Samsung kicked-off its Unpacked event in San Francisco with its highly anticipated foldable smartphone called the Galaxy Fold.

            This Samsung handset is the world’s first ‘truly foldable’ smartphone and comes with a 4.6-inch display, which opens into a 7.3-inch large tablet. The device, which folds in the center, does not show its hinge lines on the display when it is unfolded. The Samsung Galaxy Fold is priced at USD 1,980, which roughly translates to Rs 1.41 lakh in India. The smartphone will be available in India starting April 26, 2019. There is also a 5G variant of the Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone, which may not be not launched in India. The handset is powered by a 7nm octa-core processor and has 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy Fold has total 6 cameras – 3 at the back (16MP+12MP+12MP), 1 at the center (10MP) and 2 (10MP+ 8MP) on the front which means that folded or unfolded, you always have a camera available at your disposal. The folding phone’s powerful processor is equipped to handle all of the multitasking features. Popular apps like WhatsApp, Microsoft Office, and YouTube Premium apps will support this feature with others to gearing up for same.
