Have you ever thought that something as utilitarian as directions can be delightful? McDonald’s has. McDonald’s in a series of charming and colorful ads has turned its signature fries into directional signs! The new campaign is currently being run by McDonald’s France and uses the iconic fries to give drivers indicators to the nearest McDonald's drive-thru. Pictured on a color patch, French fries shows the way using 8 colors to make 64 different combinations. Each poster displays a message like “U-turn” or “turn right”, with the elongated fries communicating the instruction visually by bending this way and that. The campaign also makes sure that the drivers don’t head into another fast-food chain and has the fries tucked into a distinctive red sleeve that displays the McDonald's Golden Arches logo at the end of each directional arrow.
Thanks to this new campaign, you’ll never take the wrong turn anymore, at least when you’re hungry!
