Released in the year 2011, “Game of Thrones,” an American fantasy based fictional tv-series the franchise has become a cult not just in America or Europe but even in India, it has a mass following. According to Instagram, India ranks #1 among all other Asian countries when it comes to the GoT frenzy. Such is the love for the Thrones that Indian fans of this slow-burning American series have surpassed global fans to score the fourth spot on Instagram’s list. It’s not much of a surprise then that many brands and startups in India have also jumped in to capitalize on the hype of this GoT fever. Here are our top five:

1. Zomato– Game of Cones Ice Creams are coming! Zomato brought a quirky and eye-catching campaign called ‘Game of Cones’. The GoT inspired and stylized section takes you to a list of the best ice cream joints in your city.

2. Johnnie Walker The whiskey brand Johnnie Walker launched a special packaging for the ‘White Walker’, a limited-edition bottle collection. The packaging was made in white, with the snow zombies taking over the creativity to celebrate Game of Thrones’ final season. In addition to the whiskey, the brand also launched special cocktails inside these bottles.

3. Godrej Nature’s Basket The premium FMCG retail brand has dedicated the iron throne to the king of fruits, announcing the arrival of mangoes this season. Godrej Nature’s Basket welcomed the consumers to the season of delight.

4. Flipkart– Game of Shopaholics The GoT theme appears on the Flipkart app where it has introduced sections along the lines of “Game of Shopaholics”, “Your Watch Begins Here”, “Game of Gadgets”, and more. Everything stylized to fit the look and feel of the drama that has the entire world captivated! 5. Myntra– Game of Runs Over nine years and eight seasons, Game of Thrones has weaved a universe of its own, inspiring many fashion trends in the process. And with the last and final season underway, it only makes sense that brands bank on the Westerosi fashion quotient as well. Myntra is doing exactly that with its GoT-inspired Kook N Keech line, which includes a wide range of tees, sweatshirts, and more. To make things a little more interesting Myntra lists all these under a special Game of Thrones section with a cheeky caption– “Styles approved by the Old Gods & the New”. As winter arrives on your screens every week, which side you’re on? Ice creams or Memes, or both?
